Pressure Sensitive Labels Adhesives
There are various types of Pressure Sensitive Label adhesives that are usually created from acrylic adhesives, water-based with a smaller volume, made through the use of solvent based adhesives and hot melt adhesives. Some of the generally used adhesive kinds are Permanent that is not characteristically designed to be removed without either damaging the surface or tearing the stock. The power and the velocity of the adhesive on custom labels could be of a different type.
Variety of Adhesives
The adhesive used for a peel type of custom labels is considerably powerful and would not come off easily under usual conditions. However, the label could be removed quite easily without damaging the base stock or leaving the adhesive on the surface. This adhesive is generally powerful to be reused on another surface. It is often known as a removable adhesive.
There are in fact, varied kinds of adhesives that could easily be removed although some are totally permanent and some are ultra peel type of adhesives. Ultra peel types of adhesives are generally used on glass and covers of books. When peeled off, they do not leave any deposit on the surface. This type of adhesive is generally not as strong as the peel type of adhesive and are used mainly for light duty applications. Once removed, the custom labels cannot be reused as the adhesive is weak in nature. The permanent and peel kind labels require a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius while freezer adhesives usually have a -40 degrees Celsius that go well for deep freeze. The static cling adhesive is not an adhesive since the material used has a static charge to stick to flat or smooth surfaces such as glass. This type of an adhesive is generally utilized for window decorations and advertising purposes or even oil change labels.
